He's a young and exciting fighter. I don't see the problem.
What's the difference between him and Saul Alvarez???
Saul Alvarez gets 50 times the exposure and hype that Berto receives, yet the best fighter he's been in the ring with was an old BALDOMIR.
Alvarez at least brings something to the table, he can sell out arenas. Andre Ward with the help of a couple others have ****** HBO's budget dry the last few years. Alvarez is also currently 20 or 21 years old? Berto being 7 years his senior.
I'm not enthused with Alvarez' hype, but Berto is a detriment on another level. With that said credit for him in finally giving fans a fight worth watching when he fought Ortiz. Credit retracted for when he accused Ortiz of steroid use after Ortiz won the decision.
I'm so damn sick and tired of this guy. He's 27 years old and he hasn't done shit.
Berto's only accomplishment is being floated around as a name for a potential fight with an elite fighter.
Everytime people are discrediting someone else's opponent, the first thing they say is he should fight Andre ******** instead.
I hate fantasy fight threads with Andre ******** against elite fighters.
He's a fucking nobody! I wish he'd go away.
I'd like to give a special fuck you to the following:
Bill Clancy
Larry Ingle
Gary Ritter
Had these morons scored the Collazo fight correctly we wouldn't be hearing about Andre ********.
He has accomplished more things in his life than you will ever do... He might not be the best boxer ever but it takes heart &guts and dedication to be where he is right now.
I find it hard to believe that Berto hasn't done anything in his career, seen as he was WBC champ up until a few months ago! He needs to rebuild, against Ortiz he found someone who could hit back at him just as hard, and I think Ortiz showed a much grittier quality in this fight, probably a lesson learnt from his war with Maidana. It seems on these threads these days, no fighter has done nothing unless they have been P4P king at some point!

If he had determination he would've been better prepared for the Ortiz fight. He blew a $7-10 million dollar opportunity. Don't get a lot of those in life you know.
