Even against Abraham, he looked to be wilting. Skill-wise, there are few fighters that can match Dirrell. But boxing is as much mental as it is physical.
So to your point fatigue = lack of heart? I don't think that is accurate. So, conversely, Ward with less movement, clinches and mauls over other opponent means consevation of energy = more heart? Does that sound right to you? I don't think so.

I do believe it's more strategic, movement means you expend more energy, therefore he is fatigued. With that being said I agree with your statement about "wilting" but being fatigued can lead loss of technique and form not skill per se. Emotional maturity is a tangible, therefore a possible weakness, however adaptability is something that I believe he has demonstrated.

Ward has the emotional maturity "edge". He is cool as can be even if people think his antics take away from his character. However, I can't agree with the "heart" argument and it's link to fatigue.

Is it true that Dirrell is back in the gym after his 'injury'?

Yeah...where do you think the term comes from? I didn't make it up. You have two kinds of people- those who bite down and those who can't handle it.

We have seen Ward in these predicaments early in his career - when he was dropped once, hurt on another occasion - and even against guys like Miranda and Bika. Either you have it or don't.

I think he tweeted that he was back in the gym some time ago.

I wonder if Showtime fines his pockets dry for breach of conract?

He'll lose if he fights in Montreal, Berlin, Nottingham or Copenhagen.

If he continues to fight in Oakland then you are definetely correct.
