Green? I've seen lots of green fighters in the championship round...they don't start giving their opponent's head.

I've been watching Dirrell for years. And even his own handlers will tell you that confidence and intestinal fortitude are his main issues. Like I said, he may have the skill to beat Ward but not the will.

Bernard's style is not boxing . Headbutts are forbidden in MMA as well as MT today. I believe they are also banned in bareknuckle boxing .
Bernard should have had some 10 DQ losses in his resume and some another 10 NCs , but since he knows the referees are afraid of his promoter/s , manager/s and overall public support then he always cheated his way into a fixed ugly "victory" .

Same holds for Holyfield (last decade) , Ward and Holt , Ali , Honeyghan , Tyson and also others on a few occasions (like Bowe (vs. Buster Mathis Jr.) and Cooney (vs. Norton)) .

this "head" crap you are talking about is beside the point...this point is, in the crotch fight, he outpunched and outboxed crotch, and earned the decision...he made aa look ******...both fights on foreign soil, where it would be easy to get away with the fouling and rob him...now we see why fighters like jones, nardo, etc. were not too eager to fight on foreign soil...

now i have said repeatedly and the topic of this thread states, if he gets his s**t, together, he outboxes ward easily...especially if the fight is at a neutral site free of ward's personal refereeing and judging entourage...

Yeah, you can say he did all that but in the end, he spent the championship rounds looking for the exit. Yeah...IF he gets his **** together he beats Ward. Hell, if he gets his **** together he's the best 168-175lber in the world. I haven't seen a combination of speed and power like his since Jones. But until then, he has the skill, not the will to beat Ward.

really...but i guess it would have been cool to say hopkins was robbed, even though he faked being hurt by lowblows by calzaghe all fight...and holding onto calzaghe like he was his prom date..all the while being the instigator of all the fouling and clinching...you side up with nasa000, streetbully, and secondzout on that one don't you?

No he wasn't , he used elbows , holding and hitting and pushed back then .
Also wore his trunks as high as he could stretch them .
He had sufficient time in jail to think about his future crimes , meaning his "boxing style".

lol...at a neutral location, he spanks ward boxing easy, and ward would have no other choice but to fight dirty...same as nardo when taylor, calzaghe, and wright was outboxing him...

seems like you don't give dirrell that much credit, but at least dirrel is willing to take his show on the road...

...and that 'spent the championship rounds looking for the exit' s**t, thats your hangup...

to date i still haven't seen ward do that **** he gets away with in oakland, to aa or croch in THEIR hometown....remember benn vs. gerald m.?

If he gets his head straight, sure. If it's the Dirrell I've been watching for years, he'll be searching for the neon sign above the door by about round six.

he was so far ahead on crotch, he could have held on tighter than a ****** getting her cherry popped in the 11th and 12th, and still got the decision on neutral ground...

Yeah, but that's not why he did that. Simple.
