gtfoh...dirrel was green...you could see it even though i know you wouldn't admit it...he was still landing far more clean shots than froch all fight...even if he gave up the championship rounds (which he won as well), a gizillion frotch crotch fans screaming because crotch was landing lowblows and rabbit punches constitutes a crotch decision...not to mention the balls it took to go to foreign soil and expect to get a clean fight with unbiased officiating...more than i can say for a quite a few of the current top american fighters outside of taylor....

Green? I've seen lots of green fighters in the championship round...they don't start giving their opponent's head.

I've been watching Dirrell for years. And even his own handlers will tell you that confidence and intestinal fortitude are his main issues. Like I said, he may have the skill to beat Ward but not the will.

Bernard's style is not boxing . Headbutts are forbidden in MMA as well as MT today. I believe they are also banned in bareknuckle boxing .
Bernard should have had some 10 DQ losses in his resume and some another 10 NCs , but since he knows the referees are afraid of his promoter/s , manager/s and overall public support then he always cheated his way into a fixed ugly "victory" .

Same holds for Holyfield (last decade) , Ward and Holt , Ali , Honeyghan , Tyson and also others on a few occasions (like Bowe (vs. Buster Mathis Jr.) and Cooney (vs. Norton)) .

this "head" crap you are talking about is beside the point...this point is, in the crotch fight, he outpunched and outboxed crotch, and earned the decision...he made aa look ******...both fights on foreign soil, where it would be easy to get away with the fouling and rob him...now we see why fighters like jones, nardo, etc. were not too eager to fight on foreign soil...

now i have said repeatedly and the topic of this thread states, if he gets his s**t, together, he outboxes ward easily...especially if the fight is at a neutral site free of ward's personal refereeing and judging entourage...

Yeah, you can say he did all that but in the end, he spent the championship rounds looking for the exit. Yeah...IF he gets his **** together he beats Ward. Hell, if he gets his **** together he's the best 168-175lber in the world. I haven't seen a combination of speed and power like his since Jones. But until then, he has the skill, not the will to beat Ward.

I didn't score that fight but when someone fights like that, they just don't deserve to win. I'd be more troubled if Dirrell walked away with the W.

really...but i guess it would have been cool to say hopkins was robbed, even though he faked being hurt by lowblows by calzaghe all fight...and holding onto calzaghe like he was his prom date..all the while being the instigator of all the fouling and clinching...you side up with nasa000, streetbully, and secondzout on that one don't you?

I'll bump this because I was about to say the same thing. Actually at the same age Hopkins was more exciting.

No he wasn't , he used elbows , holding and hitting and pushed back then .
Also wore his trunks as high as he could stretch them .
He had sufficient time in jail to think about his future crimes , meaning his "boxing style".
