A. Ward aka SOB (Son of Bernard)...Dirrell outboxes him

not true huh...
if froch went toe to toe with abraham, which i think he is capable of doing, its a different fight, and a different abraham...froch made it an easy fight by boxing and not fighting abraham's fight
i am glad you openly admitted to falling asleep on ward's fight...following in nard's footsteps pretty good...lol
and i am glad you mentioned the scores, which were far more lopsided in ward's favor than in actuality...thats why people are calling for him to fight somebody outside of oakland, where the refereeing and judging won't be as suspect...i'd be willing to give him some more credit once this happens...hope its easier than getting hopkins to leave the welterweights alone...lolComment

I actually like Dirrell but you have to admit against Froch, if he had a gameplan I didn't see it. He looked bewildered, it was like a kid realizing he is a fight with a grown man. Other than run he implemented no gameplan. Furthermore do you remember his corner giving him any shread of good advice because I don't. And against AA he was looking great until AA started to connect mid fight, momentum was clearly on AA's side during that fateful round when he fouled him. And nobody can convince me otherwise that Dirrell faked that injury to stall or get out of that fight. That neuro damage they claim now is straight BS because he didn't want to fight his buddy Andre (and vice versa). Back to his corner... They completely lost it when the foul occured, his family member jumped in the ring, grandpa lost it, and his chief second was way out of his league in dealing with that fiasco. Dirrell is talented no question but so is Judah, look at the similarities. Both should be GREAT but they are limited by their corners and their incapacity to keep it together in the trenches. To me Andre is the exact opposite of that, he
May not be as gifted as Dirrell in terms of speed and athleticism but I think his corner, gameplan, toughness, and smarts beats Dirrell head-to-head. Plus Ward isn't a slouch, I dunno why he resorts to some tactics because he is talented himself.Comment

well, you can tell in the froch fight, dirrell was a green cat fighting outside of the us, and as another poster pointed out, tightened up his game by the aa fight..and
like i said, if dirrell takes that experience from froch and aa and gets his s**t together, he has all the tools to hand ward his first "L"....plus, its not like ward is putting fighters flat on their backs...dirrell has already been in there with some fighters who are always looking for the ko, and he's always fighting on the other guys turf...ward has yet to step into this territory imo...dirrell could have come out of it with 2kos like taylor...
plus i wouldn't give ward's corner THAT much credit, because imo they went into the bika fight with the incorrect gameplan and needed the ref to overlook all the extrcurricular fouling...Last edited by djtmal; 12-02-2010, 03:08 PM.Comment

I got Ward beating Dirrell. Ward knows how to win and fight his fight all the time. I difinitely don't believe he'll fight Dirrell the same way he fought Kessler, Green or Bika because Dirrell is not like any of those fighters. Abraham is a b!tch and a bum. Abraham has nothing coming when he fights Ward. Ward easy "W" against Abraham anywhere in the world.Comment

No disrespect bro, but hine sight is 20/20. Everyone thinks AA is a bum now?But remember this...before AA vs Dirrell...he was one of the favorites to win the tournament. No one had an answer for his peekaboo defense. No couldn't stand his power. MANY people on this board were on that train. Dirrell outclassed AA, AA loses to Froch....and the guy is a bum now? I'm sure AA will be a win for Ward, but don't poop on the pioneer who figured it out first.I got Ward beating Dirrell. Ward knows how to win and fight his fight all the time. Your argument isn't entirely thought out. Ward hasn't fought a technical fighter with speed and movement. Furthermore, he hasn't fought a technical fighter with speed and movement outside of oakland. I'm confident that Dirrell out-boxes, jabs, and out-moves Ward.Comment

If you watched Ward earlier as a pro, he actually was a very classic boxer and was entertaining. He could punch, move and do it all.
I have no idea what his handlers got for changing his style, but they should get life.Comment
