    If a fighter fights in someones own backyard, they should be the 1 to choose ref?

    I think thats fair, seeing how the crowd cheering everytime there fighter misses with punches and the judges are idiot that will score rounds to the wrong fighter just because the crowd is cheering for there fighter punching air.

    Yes, when Floyd beat hatton it should have been a neutral ref. The weight of Floyds choice, the contry of his choice, and the ref of his choice.

    Must be how people felt when they fought Sven Ottke in Germany.

        Nope, the fairest way would be for each fighter to choose 3 refs each and draw one at random.
