I think it's possible that Mosley only agreed to that weight because it was Pacquia, recognizing the prestige and payday associated with the bout. He hasn't fought that low for 11 years so going back to 140 could drain him quite badly, similar to De La Hoya who hadn't fought as low as 145 (weigh-in weight) for 11 years when he fought Pacquiao.
