It's funny that so many fans are demanding that Martinez (who has taken 4 tough fights in a row) jump right back and take on the toughest available opponent.

Many of them are the same people who support Lucian Bute fighting a never ending line of bums as long as he claims he is going to fight the winner of the Super 6 someday.

Pirog-Martinez is tough because neither fighter has any fans in America. It's a fight I want to see but it would be a very risky venture.

NO WAY arum puts Chavez jr in with maravilla or pirog. You can dead that talk right now. You too burner. That's all talk.

Lulz hitman. The first part isn't me (I think Martinez should take on a Lorenzo type).

Second part maaaaaybe. I was hammered when we squabbled over bute.
I like guys who clean out a division so if bute doesn't start trying to pick off these super 6 dropouts if they areN't soooooooo hurt they can't fight again, I will quickly change my opinion of him.

I'm gonna tell you right now Bute is not going to fight the Super 6 winner.

When it comes time to make the fight Bute is going to refuse to leave Montreal, demand a 50-50 split despite having done nothing on par with Ward (the likely winner) and just make a bunch of ****** demands in general.

If he were a fighter determined to make a legacy for himself he would have pushed for a Jean Pascal fight and made an attempt to win the 175 lb title while waiting around for the Super 6 winner.

Instead he basically said no to Pascal "I won't fight at 175" then went on to propose a possible match with Danny Green at 175.

How can anyone take him seriously when he does that?

No one's saying he is. Uncle Bob isnt letting Cotto, Margs, or especial Lil Chavez near Sergio.

We're talking about why Martinez and Dibella want them instead of Pirog.

I wouldn't mind it but I doubt Martinez takes this fight

gets no reward and a huge risk against a skilled boxer

I think that's why he went to showtime, hbo is too busy hyping they're cherry picking superstars at 147-154 to worry about a 168lber!!Moving to showtime will get him some fights against the elite!!

like I said in my last post, if he doesn't start pickng off these dropouts....

I don't see it that way. I see him as wanting to clean out his division as he has fought his mandatory and the next best 168lbers out of the super six. Not his fault he wasn't invited.

The reason he'll try and fight in Montreal is the $ and the hometown edge. Same reason ward (except bute sells way more tickets) is the only guy who got all his fights in his ht. Bute would murder green, he beat bika, he has looked excellent against good to decent smw's.

It's unfair to judge bute yet like that. There's plenty of great fighters that stick in their division and clean it out, jumping around doesn't do it for me as much as ruling your division with an iron fist does.

But you might be right. If the winner and bute can't settle on a neutral site, they'll both look soft to me. Bute is bringing the $ and the winner of the super six is bringing best smw in the world status.

I think Pirog will end up coming last if at all. I heard that Cintron and Dzinziruk is gonna fight on the undercard of Martinez's next fight. And I think Sergei D. will beat the frog handily. I got no problem with Martinez fighting Andy Lee, because he's just had three tough fights in a row. But after that it's back to the grind stone since Sergio claims he's only got a couple years left. Dibella said that he wanted Martinez to fight three times in 2011. If he beat Lee, Dziniruk, and Pirog in one year then that should rank him over Pacquiao if Manny is gonna keep fighting the Clotteys, Mosleys, and Margaritos of the world.

I wasn't aware Sergio was actively seeking a fight with jc jr.

It's on pirog to go after Sergio, sergio's the man right now.
