you can't look at the entire pool of participants. if you did you'd have way more white and asian participants than blacks. are asians and whites better than blacks in general in basketball? you have to focus at the top to arrive at inclination conclusions.

I'm sorry, are you arbitrarily setting a limit on the amount of fighters you'll test? Then it's a sample size because it's not the population of fighters. I think the question is do YOU know anything about statistics? Because so far, you've demonstrated absolutely knowledge of statistical analysis.

Well, no, not really. You did set the number for ATG. I've heard it at 50, 100, 200, 75, really all over the place. And no, it's not like sampling race. Not at all. For the most part, there are two possibilities for race in the NFL. I haven't seen many players who aren't either black or white. So that's a 50/50 split if it's evenly divided. If there are only 3 white running backs (two words) on that list, that's 94/6 percent split. That's easily a big enough sample to say that there's a statistically meaningful difference between the categories. However, when you have 12 categories, it's 8.3% per category. You're going to have anomalies. Even if they happen to match up with your initial hypothesis, it's still not proof. The margin of error is massive. Do I have to explain what margin of error and standard deviation are?
