Your hate towards PRs is spilling all over everyone's shoes.

      Win win situation for Cotto.

If he loses, Martinez is just too big and in his prime.

If he wins, he bounces back as one of the best today and his stocks raise up again.

This is a big fight that both guys deserve. Now this is a PPV worthy fight, especially if they sweeten the pot with a nice undercard. 154 or 155 seems fair to me.

Hopefully they get it done for March

probably the boiggest factor. if he establishes his jab with effectiveness. that only opens room for body work. And cotto is a beast at both.

Thats why i like his chances. Cotto wont go in there A La Margarito. He will do it smart. Because he is smart.
But he's still a very small Jr Middleweight. Yuri Foreman hurt Cotto. While I'm still not convinced that Sergio is all of a sudden the murderous puncher that everyone is making him out to be, he has shown good power recently and I think he can hurt Cotto and possibly stop him. The difference is size, and Sergio may be faster than Cotto as well. I see Cotto putting up a good fight, but ultimately losing to "Good Big" man

To be fair to Cotto, he did manage to stabilize Yuri Formans lateral movement by cutting the ring down, sticking the jab on him, that said, you would have to wonder how effective that strategy would be against a southpaw, as he probably wont be able to land the jab as consistently, although Martinez does drop his hands a lot so...

Not a fight I would of taken but props to Cotto, its winnable, but he will have to execute the perfect game plan.

Cotto's a much better boxer than Williams... he actually knows how to block and move his head. Plus Sergio was never known as a big puncher or KO artist before cold-clocking PWill (unless you consider Cintron, but it doesn't get any weaker than Kermit).

This is a good, competitive fight if they can get it done at 154 or 55. Cotto has always done well against mobile boxers and southpaws w/ the exception of Manny.

                      Exactly how I feel.

It's winnable. I don't think he'll win, but styles wise, he can find some success.
