Just 2 tune-ups before fighting the champ?? I dnt think that's enough for Kirkland to get back in shape, but hey who knows, I guess we would have to see what kind of shape he is right nw after his "vacation"

AA's best win is probably against either a shot Taylor or the Miranda rematch from the 1st fight he could have easily lost. So he could fight those very same guys, Sturm, Pavlik, or even some prospects like Fernando Guerrero to prove himself a little.
No point in a Miranda rubber match....Taylor won't be the same....Pavlik is holding a bottle.....

Sturm would be interesting.....still has enough of a name....don't know how much he has left....but they should rumble in good ole' Germany....

From what I've been reading on Kirkland....he "blew up" to about 180lbs while locked up....pretty sure it wasn't the cafeteria food....so he would have to work pretty dam hard to get back into fighting shape....

But if he still has Ann Wolfe....I don't see any reason why training year round and getting two tune up fights in, shouldn't prepare him for taking on Martinez

I think it would end up pretty much like the froch fight. Martinez would walk this. But, as always AA has a punchers chance.

Says here that Kirkland will actually be fighting on the "non-televised" part of the Khan/Maidana card....my question is...why is his fight NOT GOING TO BE PART OF THE TELEVISED PORTION? He is a GB fighter afterall....and I would imagine that this would be his perfect "welcome back" stage right? Thoughts?
