Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr.'s Promoter Would Love a Saul Alvarez Battle

Fernando Beltran, who co-promotes Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. with Top Rank, would love to stage an all-Mexican mega-bout with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (34-0, 26KOs). Coincidently, both Chavez Jr. and Alvarez will see action this coming Saturday in separate cards. Chavez (40-0-1, 30KOs) will take on Pawel Wolak (27-1, 17 KOs) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum confirmed Monday's report by BoxingScene.com that Chavez-Wolak will now take place at 165-pounds. Alvarez will face IBO champion Lovemore N'dou (48-11-2, 31 KOs) in Mexico.

Alvarez is better than Chavez Jr. I think they both have fought around the same type of opposition, but Alvarez wows me more.

I hope not, i dont want to see either fighter lose they both are very good. i think Vaca de Dinero would have the edge as Vaca is ready for big fights where Saul still needs times

By the time Chavez is ready for a challege he will be fighting at 175 lbs.

Alvarez isn't gonna move up 4 weight divisions.

I wonder at what weight, more than likely a weight that would benefit JCC jr. Alvarez has much more substance than Jr
