After the Diaz fight and before the Marquez fight, I started to rate Kat's skills differently, see some things there that made me more appreciative of what he can do and what makes him a good fighter but while fighting Marquez, it made me see that the best can take away his best abilities and leave behind all the worst for everyone to plainly see. God, that right hand, the way he ****s his elbow...it takes the power right out of it. It's bizarre. What I'm saying, I guess, is that I understand what brought him to rumbling with the best couple lightweights of his time other than toughness but I can also see what's stopping him from becoming one of the best couple lightweights, on the top tier.
I'm sorry, I like Katsidis, but...

Kats kept coming forward, and kept throwing a lot of punches, but JMM was exceptional, kept making him miss/blocking his shots and landing clean counters.
Great perforamnce from JMM, great effert from Kats. JMM is just on another level.Comment

as far as kats not being on marquez's level, there is only one or two who r.
so considering that, i think michael did a damn good job.
i think kats can beat the rest at that weight, but that right hand that he throws needs to be corrected or it will make it difficult for him.
i still think michael should have swarmed marquez immediately after the knockdown. marquez was pretty hurt. there is every chance the ref would have stopped it. i know marquez can obviously recover from hard shots, but he was struggling for a bit after he got back up.Comment
