It is a very interesting read. GBP is trying to buy back Shane's shares for $1000 WTF?? Shane replied to a couple of people saying that the article is very accurate and that GBP really are trying to buy his shares for $1000. In the meantime, GBP are letting Marquez go off on his own and get the Pacquiao fight--they will let TR promote it all.

i think they are trying to **** block mosley a pacquiao fight and get marquez the fight for whatever reason. Which is a good thing for us fans, but pretty damn shady if you're shane mosley.

The story leaves out several points.

A. Golden Boy would get paid several million for delivering Marquez to the fight. Top Rank would handle the promotion, but people forget that Golden Boy gets a percentage on Pacquiao, so they would also gain money from that end as well.

B. Golden Boy is not standing in the way of Mosley facing Pacquiao right now on his own.

C. Golden Boy got Mosley the biggest purse of his entire career less than a year ago against Mayweather and after that poor performance they brought him right back and somehow convinced HBO to back that garbage fight with Mora.

And Shane has the nerve to complain about them?

The question is why GB is allowing JMM to act as a free agent to secure a fight with Pac, and not Shane??

The answer is pretty simple really.. JMM is an employee of GoldenBoy and Shane is not.. Shane maybe a stockholder in the company but that doesn't mean he works for Goldenboy. JMM on the other hand has a contract with GB.

So if GB allow JMM to secure a fight with Pac, then they will get a percentage of the profit from the fight because it will still be treated as a co-promotion between TR and GB but with TR as lead promoter.

While Shane being a real free agent would basically take out GoldenBoy in the equation and have Top Rank as the sole promoter.

personally, I think mosley was wrong for being disloyal to GBP, but I don't blame mosley, I blame james prince. that douche is telling mosley to be like wifebeater and be a free agent. mosley isn't a savy business guy and will do whatever his advisors/managers tell him.

but GBP is ****in up for not getting mosley the fights that he wants by not talking to TR. mosley is probably pissed that GBP made him fight mora. that fight made no sense, made no money, and made mosley look bad.

not to mention that GBP employee is probably ****in his ex.
