Cotto and Hatton was at the Gatti fight when Mayweather
cut down Arturo (R.I.P). They were supposed to be potential
challenges and both declined. Here is another famous Bob Arum

"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."

Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.

Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."
Hard for me to believe that Floyd was scared of a guy
that wasn't ready for him in his own didivision when
    Floyd was moving up.

You fail to mention that all of those guys he fought were P4P better than all the welters he didn't fight. He made superfight instead of fighting solid opponents. In other circles, that's applauded.

If Marquez was the draw, then he would have the leverage to negotiate a catchweight...BUT he's far from the draw and he LOST to Pacquiao! At least Pac's team is upfront about making the fight at 147, unlike Floyd who wanted the weigh-in to be a mystery and then pay a 600K penalty.

Just let both fighters come to the weigh-in fully hydrated!! Marquez at 145 - same weight he fought Katsidis and Pacquiao at 147. No one should complain since both fighters won't have to starve themselves!

Why should we watch this fight again?

            What da f*^&!

Pac makes all boxers fight at catch weights that benifit him but wont budge 3 or 4 pounds to fight little marquez? Pac is really acting like a *****! Makes everybody starve to fight him n now wants marquez to blow himself up so he could be easy pickens!Pac with his fake tittles is full of it!

But Manny overlooks the top fighters to take on fighters on the down slide with names.

if it wasnt for catchweights he would never be where he is. i think is a bunch of bs, pac can make the fight at 142 at least. pacman knows that if he fights lower then 140 he would loose the fight.
