How is it that an Executive VP of Golden Boy Promotions, who also fought the last few years under that banner, is able to become a 'free agent' and fight independently under another promotional company he just created? Isn't this an egregious conflict of interest? Forget the personal angle- stabbing Oscar and GBP in the back, etc. Just confused about the legal ramifications... how the hell can one of the top executives of a company do something like that?

unless he has some sort of agreement then he cant simply put from what i understand unless he has resigned from GBP and rescinded his contract (s) with GBP.
from what i understand about GBP their angle is giving the fighter more money and taking a smaller cut....if they end up suing one of "their own" because of money issues, they will also shoot themselves in the foot to a degree depending on how Shane spins it because they will look like the sharks they dont want to be portrayed as but that they like portraying others like Arum as....will be interesting to see it unfold as i doubt Shane can just walk away like he is saying he can, especially with a few of the swiss bankers quotes...
