Why doesn't Manny go back down and whup some smaller guys?

Plenty of fights at 140 or even 135? Why this fixation with bigger guys?

Yes I know about the $$$$.

But surely Manny Vs Clottey at 147 is a smaller draw than Manny Vs Marquez at 135 or against Khan/Bradley/Alexander at 140.

Bob Arum has been keeping it in house.

So again it comes down to the money.

The difference has not been big enough for Bob to want to take on guys outside of Top Rank.

Oh plus Manny is not going down anywhere

Every lower weight class fighter will have to move up to fight him

Pac is on top of the game right now and a big payday to everyone. You want a payday you must go on his term. That's the way it is. Pac went through the same process and accept their terms. Pac first payday, from super bantamweight moved up to Featherweight and fought Barrera. From Featherweight moved up to Super Featherweight, can't wear his favorite gloves Cleto Reyes, blood tested one day before the fight but still fought Morales. From lightweight moved up to welterweight and fought money Oscar de la Hoya on his term. Now he is on top..everybody must do the same if you want to earn your biggest payday. If you really doesn't want any payday from him. All you have to do is to ask 50-50, ask him to move down or move up to your weight division, ask for OST and you gone. Beside proving yourself the fight with him can make money and for his legacy. Sorry guys but that's the way it is. There is nothing wrong with that and understandable.

He doesn't want to get wight drained and catch-weights only work in one direction for him.

But, don't forget... Fighting Clottey allows PAC to to basically take a 90% split...
