Amir won a silver medal... wow... there were about 15 guys who won Gold and that didn't make them famous.

I would say the majority of hardcore UK fans have been paying attention for a long time, all the way back when he was on ITV since the pascal fight or before.

il agree with you on this partially, froch hasn't crossed over to mainstream yet for whatever reason. haye harrison was so big here for a few reasons, 1. the uk public are fascinated by our former gold medal winner harrison. 2, it is heavywieght boxing, always has huge appeal. and 3 haye has a portion heavyieght championship. them factors combined with the huge backing from sky, trash talking and all round good promotion really made the fight huge more the casual UK fan.

some khan fans dont actually support haye because of the public fued thats been running between the 2 of them. i can speak for myself when i say i payed for the AA fight rather than find a stream. i feel as boxing fans we have a responibility to pay rather than freeload if the sport is to prosper. i hope this would be the same for a fan of any fighter.
