was it just me or did anybody else pick up how uncomfortable he made kastidis feel in the interview, he was like a dog with a bone about his brother , and then asking kats if his brother would be proud , he should of been Exclaiming that he was a warrior and had nothing to be ashamed of , instead he reduced him to tears , kats made a fan out of me last night !
Larry Merchant - classless as ever

Yes I agree, I felt that part of the interview was out of line.
It would be appropriate to bring it up if Katsidis had won.
But since he lost. Really, I dont think he should have asked him that...
It seemed a tad inapproipriate. -
yeh , i thought it was FOTY , kats give it his all and came up short , and not only did he fail to give him credit and mention the heart he showed, he decides to ask about his brother , who kats hasnt even buried , classless ! ive never really disliked merchant , after last night i was thinking i cant wait to see mayweather punk your ass againComment

IMO it was HBO not Larry that wanted the tears/drama to flow. It looked like Merchant was building up to it but was thinking how to do it (or his mind is just slowing down lol. jk).
They didn't even interview PWill when he lost.Comment

Yeah, actually they did interview Paul, know what I'm sayin'?
But I agree with the thread. I wasn't even so much bothered by the questions he asked Katsidis, but right after that loaded and emotional question, he cut him off. The premature cut back to Jim was the worst part of it. If you want drama and you want to make someone more sympathetic to the boxing public, fine. Ask those questions. But don't take the mic away unless they're done.Comment

I didnt like it, mabey mention it if he had won but the guy missed his brothers funeral to train for JMM and he still came off second best. I Imagine his brother woulda been very proud, i know i would have but i thought it was uncool to mention it.
Marquez is my boy but i was rootin for M Kats, total warriorComment

Dunno man, i think everybody got uncomftable with his reaction and i dont think a proud tough guy like Rocky would like to be on tv bubbling away.Yeah, actually they did interview Paul, know what I'm sayin'?
