      GTFO here with ur idiocy.
Hopkins didn't ****ing coin the term 'slick' you tool! Jesus Christ!!!

Unless you only started watching boxing when he and Pavlik fought, which sounds very probable in your case, maybe you hadn't heard it before then but it's been around forever. Anyone that was considered slippery, hard to hit and smooth was called slick. Benitez used to be called slick. Locche was called slick.

It's a very common term for a certain style and by no means did Hopkins coin the term.

Ahhh NSB, what else can you expect? Funny ****. That's like some ****** Pacfan or something saying that the term 'aggressive fighter' was coined for Pacquiao because there had been none before him or some Money Mai moron saying that Pound for Pound was coined by Floyd Mayweather.

Knowing the craft and being crafty are 2 different things altogether

Not only that, but he really needs to get out of that hometown ****. Those scores were an absolute disgrace and the ref didn't give one warning for headbutting etc.

I'm all for using rough, borderline illegal tactics and fighting old school, but that wasn't borderline. They were well and truly over the border and into the next country illegal tactics that any blind **** could see, which is the whole problem with his home turf BS. The guy is so blatantly obvious with winging his head straight at opponents and not even trying to disguise it. ****, I remember Bika being dirty but Ward made him look like a damn saint in there.

It's not so bad if you occasionally use that style of fighting for short periods but for a whole fight, for a whole career, you just can't expect anyone to give a flying **** about you or complain when people say you don't belong on TV cause you suck to watch. He's the type of guy that I watch to analyse, but he's about as far away as it gets when I want to watch boxing to be entertained, which 99% of people do. He's a great fighter but he's truly up there with the worst to watch along with many Klitschko fights of recent times. At least they knock their guy out though. If you like Ward, you should like Ruiz and appreciate his craft.

I just thought of something funny though: It's the same people who ***** about Klitschko fights saying they're boring as bat**** and there is too much clinching, who then turn around and say stuff like "Ward is special man. You gotta appreciate what he does. It's an artform and you just don't know boxing if you can't appreciate it. He's great to watch and exemplifies the sweet science"

If you liked this fight and his other fights, then you should also love watching Wlad/Ibragamov. He applied his craft brilliantly and applies it still brilliantly today in dominating some semi-decent fighters, then knocking them out. Ward fans should love the two top HW's today, and yet they don't and hate them for being boring....? Go figure.

            Right on brother.
