2 wrongs dont make a right ... im not here to bash ward and praise froch. froch dirrelll was foul filled. that was one fight. wards been doing this in his last 5. and as i stated this is a problem in all of boxing with many fighters using this tactic not just ward.

the difference being imo ward doesnt have to fight this way he just knows its easier to get wins and protect his chin this way. as well hes in a highly publicized tournament with alotta eyes on him and this mauling clinching wrestling holding and hitting headbutting elbowing and forearming style does nothing to bring new fans in. imo (just my opinion) its boring and ugly to watch on top of being against the rules of boxing.

so lets get clearer ruless if need be and some proper refs in there and lets get him and everyone else to stop this ****.

the only reason berto collazo was a good fight was cause the ref didnt let berto hold. if it wasnt for that it woulda been a mirror of the berto urango fight which was a POS. we need refs to enforce and deduct for holding and clinching and in turn we'll get better fights ...

It will be a worthy final. And to be fair there is no way the final of the super six should be in any fighters hometown.

I'd like Froch to be given a decent chance, ie a ref who will stop most of the dirty tactics from Ward.

I agree. On the same token, people are bashing Ward for what Froch has done as well.I like Froch, but there is not one fight where he isn't holding behind the head and hitting....fouls happen in boxing.I don't believe Ward headbutts intentionally...nor do I think Bradley does, but the truth is,if you are in their way when they rush in,it won't bother them if heads clash. At some point an opponent will know that they will have to fight with a different gameplan when facing their styles.

Yes,I agree that there should be clearer rules...in fact, there is not much I disagree with that you say apart from saying Ward's last 5 fights have been fouls soley on his behalf.I do think that ever since Ward has fought more aggressive that fouls have happened though. There are really only around 2 fights where fouls have happened-the Bika fight and Kessler. There was no fouls really in the Miranda fight, nor the Green fight.Possibly because he fought Green on the inside and used movement with Miranda-2 ways that there is less inclined to be head-clashes.Even the fight before the Super Six there wasn't really many fouls.People tend to over-react when it comes to Ward....apart from 2 fights, the fouls are minor and unintentional.

tbh why i think people are tougher on ward (or at least why i am) is i feel he has the talent to fight in a cleaner/more entertaining way. fouls happen unintentional and otherwise but this is a tough sport it comes with the territory. its that in combination with the mauling holding and wrestling i really dont like. i do believe his fights would become much more competitive if he wasnt allowed to fight like he does. but its an easier and a very effective way to win but it does nothing for the fans entertainment value. at least it doesnt for mine

i can't disagree with the mauling and wrestling...it is not entertaining.I believe Ward has strong versatile skills, but a few of his fights he does indeed get rough too much.I prefer his skills when he fights BOTH on the outside and inside, not just inside fighting...especially since he is not a knockout artist,it is important to show off the skills he can.Hopefully we will see this in the next few fights.

Hell yeah! Topic title is the truth.

And..... If Froch fights outside of England his chances of winning drops heavily as well and I am a big Froch fan.

But Pascal wasn't, and Froch still jabbed his head off.

I've said it before butts happen in just about every fight, they may not all be as bad as that we have to see a fight stopped cause of it but they do happen..My biggest problem with Ward is the elbows and the holding,I was defending Ward because someone said he was dirty on B.S.and we debated the issue back and forth...He then told me that Ward used an elbow in the Ward and Bika fight,I said I did not remember that happening(because I did'int)he ask me to look again..He was right,Ward did use his elbows in both fights..I'm not saying they were the reason he won Ward is a very talented fight, but they were there elbows are serious my man and should not be used in the ring..He has never been warned about it or anything and that's a big problem..

BTW I also believe holding is another thing that refs need to caution fighters on..It makes fights hard to watch when there is too much of it..

Ward should not have been allowed to fight at home for each fight in this tournament, problem is if he is allowed to get away with it he will.

The final will most probably be in Vegas, but Ward should be made by the promoters of this tourney to fight abroad.

M.e.n arena or the O2 arena would get filled instantly if this came to the UK.
