FOTY... Segura vs Calderon or Marquez vs Katsidis

Juanma vs Rafa Marquez was a good one, but the anti-climatic ending due to Rafa's shoulder fracture eliminates this one from contention.

Which was better? Which deserves to be FOTY? Were there any better ones over the past 11 months that I may be forgetting?

    Segura vs Calderon

    or

    Marquez vs Katsidis

Anti-climatic ending cuz Rafa quit on his stool. The Segura-Calderon was a good fight til Ivan quit. 2nights fight was a war but I think the Froch-Kessler fight was better. Other then the kd, Katsidis was trying his hardest but he was gettin' ****ed up.

Before yesterday, Segura/Calderon was my hands down choice. High action, great skills by the older champ, and great resiliency by the young gun. Good stuff

But yesterday...that was great see-saw stuff. I'll have to think about this for a bit

Here we go, let's get this str8 right now. Rafa had a legitimate injury, a fractured freakin' shoulder dude. And Calderon just got beat to submission. When you don't have a fracture and willingly go to your knees to prevent a further beatdown, that's called quiting, so at least you're half right. But that was a great fight given Calderon being the undefeated champion and how he was giving Segura all he could handle.

Anyway, Froch vs Kessler? I'll have to watch that one again, but I don't think it quite met the mark...

How was he gonna quit? That idiot referee basically forced him to keep fighting. And the end result was inevitable; Yuri was fighting with one leg, gee, "great win" for Cotto, fighting a wounded warrior. Let me show you what quitting looks like homie...

Not being able to fight because of a fractured shoulder, in a sport that requires you to use your arms, is not quitting.

And this thread was not even about Calderon quitting but you all always find a way to spark up bull**** conversations like this.

Sticking to the thread and not the entire culture rivlary BS, another candidate is Ricky Burns vs. Rocky Martinez which i thought was closer than many had it, most importantly it was exciting.

Okay it is a long shot of winning, but very early in the year i thought Wonjongkam vs Kameda was pretty good seeing an old veteran use skills to mitigate the power of the younger undefeated opponent.
