marquez should fight either mosley or berto, winner gets pacquiao...in the meantime, pac can defend his jr middleweight belt atleast once against the other jr middleweight belt holders (excluding cotto tho)

then the winner of marquez vs mosley or berto gets a shot at pac in oct/nov of next year....OR

make a tourney type titled "road to pacquiao"
marquez, mosley, berto, winner of bradley/alexander

1st round (semi finals): marquez vs mosley, berto vs winner of bradley/alexander

2nd round (final): winner of marquez/mosley vs winner of berto vs bradley/alexander

these are all of the fighters that are the names being thrown around as possible pac opponants...so why not have these guys setup a tourneyment? it would be a great tourney...old vs old and young vs young...in the final, we'll get to see old (either mosley or marsquez) vs young (either alexander/bradley or berto)

Marquez wants to fight Pacquiao, but he avoided Amir Khan and fight Katsidis instead which is an easier fight. He ducked Khan for he feared he will lose and now he is challenging Pacquiao? Marquez is insane. He just wants a good payday.

If Marquez is ducking Amir Khan, then Pac is ducking Martinez. They aren't in the same weight class. There is no ducking going on.

Pac rehydrated to 148 for at 150 lbs fight.

They are basically at the same weight class. Pac just a more accomplished fighter at the higher weight classes. JMM needs to prove himself he can beat a legit welter 1st before he step again for Pac.

JMM has no leverage whatsoever in the negotiations. If Pac camps wants 147, That's where the fight will be!! JMM will be 145 Pac will be at 147-148. No big advantage for Pac!! JMM can drink a little more Pizz to gain more weight!!

Thing is with Marquez, negotiations are always difficult. I don't think it's about the catchweight or anything related in the ring. I think it's the money.

No one wants to make the first move.

Marquez needs to declare his terms so they could start from there.

Arum will never make the first move, as seen in the reports.

                  Should be
Mosley vs Berto by march 2011
JMM vs Bradley/Alexander by may 2011

Hopefully Pac-PBF happens in May 2011, Pac KO PBF!!

If the chicken is still a duck, Pac can take the winner of Mosley Berto 1st, then the winner of JMM-Brad/Alex

Marquez beats Katsidis and he is ready for Pac?

It really amazes me how some of you are now saying that Marquez is ready for pac because of his win over Katsidis. Did you guys watch the fight?? Katsidis has the worse right hand I have ever seen. He throws it looping with no power. He only has the left hook to use. Basically a one handed fighter almost the same as pac was years ago. But yet he gave Marquez all he could handle at 135. I would rather watch Pac fight Berto, an undefeated young black fighter for another welterweight title.

No, Kat was the # 1 Contender. Marquez did what is expected of the champ, fight the # 1 contender, unlike Pac who picks and chooses to his benefit.

Marquez has busted up Pac in two fights, won more rounds on both fights, and FORCED Pac to run up the divisions AWAY from the ONLY man to take it to him, bust him up, and make him cry to his mama. Oh but he was knocked 4 times, SO? It's called BOXING, NOT KNOCKDOWNS!

                      Marquez > Pac.
