JMM: Greatest "recovery" fighter in the modern era/ever?

Have you ever seen a guy be able to take a knockdown or get stunned so badly and be able to maintain his poise and regain command of the fight/round? We've seen guys get knock downed and get back up to win a fight, but I can hardly remember watching a fighter get knocked down so brutally but be able to storm back on such regularity that it makes me believe that when he touches the canvas, its like a bolt of energy for him.

So, JMM, greatest "recovery" fighter in the modern era/ever?

He's the best I've seen, can't think of another guy that gets going better after a KD or getting hurt.

Holyfield and Trinidad could do the same thing, but Holyfield didn't always keep his cool - ok he never kept his cool - and Trinidad was more of a wake-up call than anything else. He wasn't seriously hurt, just reminded he was in a fight. Marquez gets hurt - badly - but sticks to a gameplan and ****s it out. It's like the worst way to fight Marquez is to knock him down or hurt him. It focuses him.

Trinidad. It was almost as if you didn't want to knock him down because you knew once you did that,

he'd really kick your a ss.

Hard to say, he does have that SRR-type chin. That said, there are some guys who don't get rocked as often but still seem to have the same recovery abilities like Mayweather. So one could possibly attribute it as much to his defensive flaws as to his extraordinary recovery capabilities since other, potentially similar fighters, rarely need to display theirs.

I was thinking about this too.

I mean how many fighters get knocked down, only to win the rest of the round? Marquez is definitely a rare breed in the sport. He's just flat out resilient.
