Was the Katsidis stoppage too early?

I think it was a good stoppage because Katsidis was stumbling about, his legs were gone and I think his will was broken.

I think so, If Kenny Bayless wanted to stop it he should have waited for Katsidis to go down and call it(no count). Michael is a warrior, he deserved a chance.

      Berto stoppage was worse.

The guy got up at 5 and the ref stopped it anyway.

It wasn't like he was taking a beating, he just got caught with a good punch.

He had plenty of stamina to recover or at least get legitimately KO'd.

It was Katsidis fault for not fighting back.

Yes, I think it was a little early. In a world title fight I would like fighters to be given the benefit of the doubt so that they can be given the chance to recover and stage a come back.

No, Katsidis let the fight go on too long. If he was going to win it would have been early or mid-round KO. I screamed with cheers when I saw Katsidis floor Marquez and hurt him a bit, but I knew in the back of my mind Marquez was going to get up and lay the smack-down on Katsidis.

Marquez is a slow starter, if that was Pacquiao Marquez would have been KO'd. Pacquiao isn't the same Pacquiao Marquez once fought. And Marquez is a great fighter but Pacquiao is a legendary fighter now.

I figure a lot of people will think otherwise, but I thought the stoppage was perfectly timed. Bayless was watching Kats very closely and saw exactly what I saw. His whole body looked rubbery from the last JMM assault, and he was going to get badly KO'd soon. Kats is an amazing warrior, but no need to end his career with a senseless beat down. He had already taken too much punishment and was not going to come back and win. Michael gave everything he had in him (which was a **** load), but JMM was just way to strong and sharp tonight.

Katsidis didn't get his will broken, he was just hurt and trying to get his head together to survive the round... JMM just didn't let him, he's the best finisher in the game.

327 punches from Marquez is an incredible amount for 12 rounds let alone 9, Katsidis took a beating, but was strong and in great condition, so it didn't show until the last few rounds.

2 warriors man, JMM is one of my favorites, but I wouldn't have been mad to see Katsidis win. They both show what's so great about boxing.
