The question he asked him was the problem. "Do you think your brother would be proud of your performance?" what kind of ****in question is that to ask a man whose brother just died and just lost a fight. It was like he was ****in with him

He looked like he was about to cry himself when he said that, Merchant that is.

I don't think it was an inappropriate question nor was Katsidis upset he asked. Sure he was emotional, but it was a right time to bring it up now that the fight is over. Im sure Kats brother would be very proud, he give it his all

I think Merchant did it with good intentions, it just came out in bad taste.....he should have chosen his words a bit wiser I thought

It was the delivery, not what he delivered.


If he had worded it something more like, "I'm sure brother is very proud of the performance you gave tonight," and then given Katsidis some time to say thank you or what have you, this wouldn't even be a subject.
