Marquez has won more rounds over Pac in their two fights. He had a terrible first round in the first fight, but got up and pretty much clean sweeped the remainder of the fight. The second fight was close and one knockdown separated the two of them. I can see a lot of people believing that Marquez won both of the fights.

There should have been almost an immediate rematch after the second fight, but Arum didn't want any of that.

Marquez turned down 3 million to fight Manny and faced Chris John instead, and he passed up 750k for an immediate rematch with Manny, that is TWICE Marquez denied a fight with Manny. Marquez wants Manny now, because the guy can't draw for **** and he knows his career is basically over, he NEEDS Manny now. Its funny how only the guys who NEED fights end up calling other guys out. Cotto didn't call out anyone because he can draw and get who he wants, same with Floyd, Manny and now Sergio. JMM does not have that option, and maybe if he opted to fight Manny on either one of the immidiate rematches, history may have been changed. I would have favored Marquez after the first fight and after the second, now he's an old man begging for a fight.

He started the fight 4 points down and still managed to have the judges decide a close fight, you can say what you want, no fighter should come back and make the fight close and if he does, he should win just on technicality alone.
