George Groves is a very NICE young man

    A mild surprise,

to look at him, you'd expect a horrid little hooligan. But I've seen him in conversation more lately and he has good manners and a nice, clean-cut personality out of the ring. I appreciate that kind of 'modest' quality in a boxer (as opposed to Ricky Hatton modest, which isn't remotely modest).

I liked to root against him before because of the whole Saint George promotional cack that has Nationalistic divs like 'John Locke' root for him.

But now I think I'll support him, for his agreeable manner and because I liked what he did in his last fight.

He's definitely the most intelligent person on that Primetime panel tonight, although Barker seems alright too.

Duke, Abraham one of the best middleweights ever? Seriously?

I think DeGale will win, yeah. But maybe Groves' intangibles disprove that, I was impressed by his heart in his last fight.

I've met DeGale and he's a bit of a prat, although basically decent, and I prefer Groves on a personal-charm level. Hmmm.

Note that I don't typically buy into 'good guy' images for the sake of it...I'm a Mayweather fan, after all. I just like Groves' manner particularly, he's a certain type of clean-cut attitude that I appreciate (although, it's a shame about the dreadful ink he's defiled his skin with). And his style is definitely engaging.
