He told the truth first time around, it would be a mismatch size wise. Then his manager and promoter got in is ear and ordered him to trash talk.
That's because Roach has been talking **** about how Manny would knock him out, so Serg called his bluff and that's when all the weight crap and we won't budge crap comes into play. Sergio is to big when he is healthy and comes in proper condition but if he drains himself he would be selling his soul for money just like the rest did. It's about time somebody says screw that if you want the fight lets make the fight at a weight we both comfortable

      exactly.

ppl i guess don't realize how fckin pathetic this sounds for sergio.

'that guy is sooo small our fight will be a total mismatch.'

he wouldn't have said that if he didn't believe it himself.

then he turns around and challenges that same dude to a fight anyway?

When sergio martinez calls out Andre Ward or Carl Froch and goes through with it, then he can talk **** about Pac. Until then, STFU about 155.

lol, hardly a follower. If I follow anything it's logic, something thats appears to be lacking in Martinez' statements.

Why is there a double standard here? If he wants Pac to come up to fight him and if it shouldn't be such a bid deal as some here believe, then he could very well go up to 168 to fight one of those guys. I'm sure he would make some money with one of those fights. On top of that, one should look at the weight differences proportionately. Pac started at 108, Sergio at 147....there is a huge proportional difference at play here

Whats so hard about him fighting a 168 champ? Afterall, he wants Pac to do the same thing.

O don't get me wrong I'm all for him fighting some of the bigger guys but my thing is why would Roach talk **** about knocking him out if he just going to turn around and say only if he comes down to 150. My thing is don't talk **** unless you're ready to back it up. When Serg said he was to big to fight Pac I think he meant at his proper weight class not at some catch weight.

Yeah, I don't have the answer for that one. My only guess would be that he was referring to a fight at 147.

                    STOP. RIGHT. THERE,

That is where your logic falls apart. Sergio did not ask Pac to come up. Sergio wants to fight Pac for the JMW belt. The belt that Pac holds.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ONE CHAMPION CHALLENGING ANOTHER FOR A BELT? He isn't asking Pac to move at all. He will go to JMW. Ya know, the same belt Sergio held about six months ago.
