Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Professionally Waiting

By Cliff Rold - With all the obstacles, injuries, outright pratfalls, that have dogged the “Super Six” Super Middleweight tournament so far, it was no shock to find fully half the original field gone when the final preliminary round kicked off a few weeks ago.

It was no shock to find the tournament leader, 2004 U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist and current WBA 168 lb. titlist Andre Ward (22-0, 13 KO), scrambling for a new opponent. Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 KO), his former Olympic teammate and schedule foe, claimed lingering concussion affects from his disqualification win over Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO).

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain talking about money on the Fight Camp series of course. [Click Here To Read More]

Bika is definitely dangerous and awkward. Ward is fighting a tough opponent & should get props especially in todays age of boxing

        A couple of things Cliff:

Are you sure Ward chose Bika, or Showtime chose Bika, or Showtime suggested Bika and Ward validated, or what ?

As for the Calzaghe-Bika fight, come on, Calzaghe didn't decisively beat Bika, it was a very ugly and close fight, I don't care about the scorecards, no decisive victory for sure. Bute did beat Bika decisively though.

if you honestly think a fighter like Froch can beat Ward, it is time for you to get interested in another sport

We both have about the same amount of points.

I bet everything that Ward beats either Froch or Abraham ?
