This isn't about either ducking the other or being afraid, but an ego thing. I really wish people would use common sense and realize this.

Not only is it a battle of egos between Manny and Floyd....but also with Haymon and Arum.

of course. thats why i dont see why people constantly sayign floyd duck or scare or whatever when there are so many people in the background that has controll of this fight.
it will happen even if they both are forced into it but it will happen at the right time.

making threads about floyd ducking who and manny this and that all day is promoting the fight without them actually promoting it. whatever floyd manny arum haymon hbo did is working. floyd is the villian manny is hero and this fight will be huge

If you have nothing to hide you take the test. It's that simple. I cannot think of a single athlete in the world other than Manny Pacquiao that would refuse a drug test (a 50 million dollar one at that) and yet the other fighter is construed as the one ducking. It's laugable really. Could you imagine if the roles were reversed? People would be completely incensed that Mayweather is holding up the biggest fight in history because he isn't willing to prove he is a clean fighter.

Funny that you say that considering Pac has passed every drug test since he set foot on US soil...

Its one thing if the NSAC or Boxing Commission tells Pac to condone in the new strict blood testing protocol and Pac says "No or I need a cut off"

but if Floyd Mayweather who has a history of finding an excuse not to fight particular fighters (and if you say this isnt true your just blind) request out of the norm blood testing demands then I would say "GO F$$# YOURSELF"

But as of Today Pac is willing to compromise while Floyd is no where to be found... Says alot at this stage of all the drama..

I really don't see how drug testing would be the issue specially since both will be subjected to it . I expect the split or the fight date but never thought OST would be the killer

Lets get our facts straight. Team Wife Beater never asked, they made demands after they've dragged PAC's name through the mud with accusations, insinuations, you name it they did it. In hopes of coercing PAC to take OSTs.

Ego is very much in play here. So, PAC's rebuttal to all this is to just keep destroying common foes where the other one can only muster boring SD's, UDs, hehe.

Thing is it's only in this forum that this OST thing still
gets talked about. As soon as Team Pac announced that
they were agreeing to the 14 day cut-off months ago, that
was all the real world wanted to hear. Since then Floyd became
the laughing stock and the mainstream media lay the blame
everything squarely on Floyd. Everyone knows that Floyd
deciding to go on vacation has nothing to to do with this OST
nonsense.

I'm gonna have to disagree with "They just don't want to give in to eachother's demands". Mayweather gave in to 8oz gloves, 50-50 split, and $10Million for every pound over 147 at the weigh in. Those were all 3 of Pacquiao's demands and Mayweather said yes to all of them.

Mayweather's only demand was random OST, Pacquiao said no, then Pacquiao wanted 30 day cut off, Mayweather offered 14 day cut off, Arum said Team Mayweather never offered 14 day cut off, mediaitor for Pacquiao-Mayweather said Arum lied and Mayweather did offer 14 day cut off, and that Arum just wanted Pacquiao to fight Clottey.

Margarito said since May, the he was gonna fight Pacquiao in November. Arum was just trying to keep it in house for 2010. There was nothing anyone can do.

yes there was someone and that someone was Floyd. If Floyd would have said, "who would go on a vacation for that long, of course I want to fight Manny" ....

BUT Floyd said he didn't want to fight Manny so Manny had to fight his 2nd option, Margo.

I don't know about you, but if someone was falsely accusing me of using performance enhancing drugs, the first thing I would want to do is take a drug test to prove they were wrong.

There's nothing wrong with what you're saying either.

But, on the same token, there's nothing wrong with saying no to someone who falsely accused you.

It's not anymore a big issue. Not even Floyd has come out saying that. Only some people on this board since Manny has gone down to 7 days WITHOUT ANY NEGOTIATIONS, according to Floyd!

As EVERYONE has said, the issue is Floyd taking his long vacation. Now it may be extended more because of his personal problems. Time will tell.

well floyd gave into the 10 million over weight because he has never been over the weight limit. over a catchweight yeah but he never cared about that anyway. and he gave in 50 50 because he still comes off with alot of money. but since manny didnt give into his demands he refuse to give in to mannys anymore. thats why floyd wont comprimise with 14 days or any days anymore he wants random thats his demand and either manny accepts or no fight. if floyd back down now its like he lost already and if manny backs down he can seem like the hero and it plays into the fight even more

Do you seriously have faith in the Comissions to detect any and all forms of cheating? Why shouldn't the most lucrative fight in the sport's history employ a test that detects PEDs that routine testing can't?
