Ok, this is yet another fight card that should by no means be a PPV event...this means nothing and doesn't matter for either the mens' or womens' divisions...In fact, even though my gf has made persuasive arguments in favour of men fighting women (equality and such) I think this is a ****ty idea that just makes boxing look ike more of a freakshow than it is...this kinda **** is not going to make boxing respectable and will just draw in the same people who would cough up money to see a washed up Tyson, just to see if he freaks out...boxing is in a real state and other contact sports (MMA for example) seem like they are growing in popularity while boxing continually finds a way to make itself look bad...the fights this year have been great and the rest of the year looks good too but there are very few fighters who can pull boxing back to the mainstream...or promoters who are willing to see past their greed to do what is best for boxing...like setting up matches between evenly matched opponents....blah
Anne vs Man PPV?? WTF???

The Rahman-Barrett PPV did really ****ty numbers so hopefully they (HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Don King, and every other promoter) will learn that even boxing fans will only put up with so much. Rahman-Barrett was barely cable worthy, let alone worthy of a PPV and the Ann-Man thing is even worse..Comment

2 people eating at a moderately priced restaurant, taking a family of 4 to two movie matinees, ordering a boxing pay-per-view...
it's all the same price
It all depends what you're willing to spend your money on. I spent way more money back when I was dating on an evening than I would buying a PPV and some beer and watching with a buddy...
By the time I was home, I spent over 800 bucks going to see the Vargas fight this weekend. Now that's pricy (at least for my budget); watching this fight on TV won't be...Comment

I really like boxing, I really like food...I am pissed when I get fed bad **** either way....only superfights should be PPV, charging us for every crappy fight that comes along is a joke...and there is almost no exposure for the sport if every fight costs $30-$50...sure it isn't as much money as a night on the town but its the principleComment
