I'll say the same. Paul's destruction was swift but the impact of that shot was Hattonesque scary! Thoughts...

They will both continue on fighting.

Thousands of fighters have been ko'ed and beaten up, but always come back for more.

They will ride it as long as they can, and both will probably do pretty good for the next couple of years.

      Margo, by far.

Those were hundreds of punches hammering his brain.
The brain MOVED with every blow. It's like his brain was inside a Pinoy Blender.

Paul Williams is more mental now, he will always question himself in that ring most likely. Margarito's is physical more than mental. If anything Margarito will still be great mentally but physically I see him being stopped now since he took way too much punishment against Pacquiao.

I think Paul Williams chin is good but he needs to improve on his defense or he will end up kissing that canvas again if he decides to continue his career.

              margarito BY FAR

people evolved to get clocked 1 time very hard, get back up

margarito will be feeling the effects the rest of his life

whether its the resto fight, the benn fight, the mancini fight, however different they all were in circumstances, death or serious injury generally doesnt come from one punch

mentally you can't tell, personally i'd rather be knocked out and attribute it to defensive flaws

how does someone rationalize being totally dominated and knowing they've hit their apex and its all downhill

Cotto came back from it pretty good, he was beating Foreman up before Foremans leg totally gave out. But Margarito definitely has taken more punishment overall in his career. Foreman is a good fighter and not crap like what some idiots say on here, but Cotto definitely had the experience going into that fight and was kind of taylor-made for Cotto.

Margarito has had wars with Williams, Cotto, Mosley(dominated Marg), Pac(dominated), and heck Cintron even landed some hard shots on Margarito aswell. Margarito has taken alot of punishment in his career, even the fights he won he took some monster shots in.

                  Margarito.

This is an exaggeration, but it's like the difference between getting shot to death, or being stoned to death.

If a fighter's chin (or brain) deteriorates, it's usually due to accumulation, not just a one-punch KO.

Williams got, what was a solid chin, shattered. Unless he takes it easy, which he likely won't, he may wind up with a permanent glass jaw.

Margarito on the other hand just had some messed up skin. His epidermis may no longer be as tough considering all the scar tissue he has now, but he'll live.
