Simple question.
Who would win a fight between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux ?

Gennady Golovkin has a ton more experience, that's what wins it for me.
But Lemieux is very heavy handed so he's got a great chance as well.
I just like Golovkin's international experience and pro record better at this point.
Maybe it happens down the road, but I just don't see either camp considering it now.

I know Lemieux is only 21 and fairly young in the boxing world but I can't wait til he starts fighting legit guys. Not that Ayala and Camacho were jobber and I think it was surprising to get rid of both in the 1st round but its about time he starts fighting top-20 guys in the middleweight division.
Thats why I thought about a Golovkin/Lemieux fight.
Purnell Gates is 37 years old, the fight will be short and Lemieux won't even lose a breath on it.
And now its not even sure that he will fight Marco Antonio Rubio because they want to make the fight in Mexico. Which is pretty ****** imo... Way more money to make at the Bell Centre were the tickets cost a ****load of money. I'm pretty sure GYM won't take their fighter in Lawlessness country.Comment

It might make more money in Canada but I think it would be a smart move to take Lemiuex to Mexico because I think Mexican fans will love his style and he will be able to increase his fanbase.

Face it, we're not talking about some huge payday here, sometimes trading cash for exposure is a good career move.Comment

Not really his fault... His last 2 bout against Ayala and Camacho were booked for that, putting some boxing round under his belt, espacially Ayala, since he had a good chin and could take heavy punch.
It just ended up the same way.Comment
