A little free advice, you're really not doing yourself any favors by attemping to "compare" the two. More so when you like to only point fingers in one direction. It's known as a greek word of "hypocrisy", and its "hypocritical" on your part to do so! That's more or less putting the truth in ones face for..... (I lost count). You need to start looking at the big pitcure and get off the "fanboyism".
Just ask yourself, why do we hold such low standards for Pac? If we didnt have such "low" standards, the fans wouldn't be making a list for Pac that he most likely wont "pick" from. Why is this? Why do we hold him at such a subpar level of standards? We expect so much more from Mayweather, that's for sure.
What IS expected NEXT from The Pac Man:
1. #1 WW in Mayweather AT 147 for WW title and undisputed #1 P4P status
2. #1 MW in Martinez AT 154 for JMW title (he should also be #1 JMW "imo")
3. #2 WW in Berto AT 147 to unify WW titles
If those TOP 3 BEST can't be made for some bizzare reason,
4. Alexander/Bradley AT 140 or 147
5. JMM AT 140
As you can see NO "catchweights", NO BS, and it's the BEST of JWW, WW and JMW/MW. Alot of options of "the best" in there respected weight class. As I have said manny times now, this LIST is what's expected from Pac. Top Rank BETTER choose wisely as anything else and Pac (yet again) is being exposed for DUCKING the best!
FYI, fighting Mosley who's not rated at WW and hasn't won a fight since January 2009 is NOT fighting the best let alone him fighting at 154 in his last fight. Fighing JMM at 147 who's not even rated at WW and last fight was at 135 is NOT fighting the best. Requesting a 135 lber to "move UP" to 147 lbs when Pac DIDN'T even win the WW TITLE at 147 lbs is just cowardly. If Pac wants to fight AT 147, there are TWO names ranked at #1 and #2. Berto has already stepped to the line if Mayweather doesnt do the same. Martinez at 154 has too. What's the issue?
Top Rank better choose wisely.

I don't want it to be "my list", it should be a list that boxing fans, insiders, experts etc a like would be expecting Pac to fight next.
The problem I have is not "hate" when it comes to Pac, it's the fact that a list like this is out there of creditable TOP fighters and Pac looks else where or wants "catchweights" when they are creditable and or a threat i.e. # 1 WW in Cotto but at a catchweight or when he doesn't want the "catchweight, its VS a 135 lber at 147. This is what my "problem" is with Pac since 2008.
This is why the question is asked, why do we hold such low standards for Pac? It's not hate. It's a fan questioning the selections made since 2008. I know Pac is great. I know this. I'm tired of not seeing it vs creditable TOP fighters. The best fight the best and Pac isn't doing this. Nobody sees this, but Pac's next "selection" will bring light to the bigger picture.
As I said before, Top Rank better choose wiesly.

Up until about 7-8 days ago, I was a struggling, confused, Manny admirer, who tolerated his ***wit fan-boy's. Well, I am no longer ANY of those things. Four things happened during the last week-or-so, that have changed everything for me.
That 60 minutes show was a real eye-opener. During that show it became absolutely obvious to me that Manny was a hype-job with a manufactured resume'. He is a terrific fighter, don't get me wrong, but Manny has been given pass, after pass, after pass, after pass..... by everyone, including me. I made excuses for Manny, when I should have - and did - know better. And now, because of his 8th divisional title, Manny is being passed off as the GOAT? Oh please, what a fkn joke.
That's when I realised the impact that a show like 60 minutes can have on non-boxing fans. The vacant JMW title that Manny won by beating a slow, plodding, mediocre, shop-worn, welterweight BUM, with no KO power, who could not even currently compete with the top welter's..... was being used as proof that Manny was the GOAT. That title is a poor joke.
Then came Martinez.....
Bob Arum stated that Manny Pacquiao could beat Sergio Martinez.....
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=33104
Then Arum stated that Manny could not beat Sergio Martinez.....
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=33359
And then came Marquez, at 147.....
So, Manny will not fight the old-age pensioner Marquez unless the bout is held at 147. The already stretched Marquez has to go up two divisions to fight Pacquiao, and yet Manny will not even defend his JMW title vs Martinez at 154. WTF?
Then I started to think about it and realised that there has been controversy involving every single Pacquiao fight, without exception, since before Marquez II. Catch-weights, shop-worn opponents, exhibition match's passed off as title fights, lucky decisons, OST issues, bizarre occurences both in and out of the ring, in house match-ups, and the list goes on.
And then, you look at who else is involved, Arum, Roach, Ariza.
The fourth event, and straw that broke the camels back, was when I strongly objected to the fact that Manny would not fight Marquez at 140. We all know that Manny is a JWW, and that he could easily make 140. We also know that JMM is irrelevant above 135, and would be clearly out-matched even at JWW.
So, I try to explain this, and reason with a number of Pacquiao fan's. I get told "the pee drinker deserves a beating, Manny makes the rules he is the P4P king, JMM has no chance at 147 and Manny will KTFO that cry-baby".
I try to reason with them some more, explaining that this should be a fairer contest, and that Marquez is getting set up here. They say "stfu up *****, tell your idol he is on holiday, Marquez will take the beating instead of Floyd". WTF? I had never even mentioned Mayweather, not once.
Just one nutcase poster? Hardly. Most Pacquiao fans insist "*** that crybaby, he can come to 147 and take his beating". And every valid point you make = " hard luck, Manny is the draw ".
The general opinion of most Pacquiao fan's is that Manny makes the rules because he can, and who cares that a fairer contest would be better for boxing, as well as for Manny's legacy. All that matters is that Manny wins. It does not matter who he beats, or how he beats them, just as long as he wins.
I'm not perfect, I have the odd little issue in life, as well as a couple of bad habits, but my biggest issue is..... unreasonable people.
I am a huge believer in the golden rule, and I admire George Bernard Shaw's Unreasonable Man.....
" The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man ". Well, not in my fkn world it doesn't.
I said earlier that hate is a strong word, but it is an understatement when it comes to how I feel about unreasonable people. I object to sharing the planet with them. *** them, they have no worth, to anyone.
I am hard on unreasonable people. If I caught someone in my house, I may not stop hitting him just coz the stick broke.
It is fair to say that I got a little bit riled about the Marquez issue
I want to be less "confrontational" shall we say, and even though I strongly disrespect a number of posters, I do not want to be abusive. I want to fit in, like the reasonable man in GBS's quote.
But there are two problems. It is very hard to ignore unreasonable cvnts. And what if Pac/JMM is made at 147? If it does, then a lot of people are gonna get real sick of me, I can tell you that for free, and no ***er better walk out in front of my car wearing a Manny t-shirt.
So, now that I have calmed down a bit, what do I do about my 6 "Manny is a coward" reasons? Do I take them back? And if so, how? Those 6 reasons have been closely scrutinised, and most definitely have not been rebutted.
My new tag..... will remain until I decide what to do.
Team Pacquiao.....
Still piss-scared of Marquez, since 2004

Marquez couldn't beat DLH, Hatton, Cotto or Margarito. I doubt "piss scared" is something I would use to describe what's going on.
Let Marquez fight another LEGIT 147 Pounder and see what happens. If he wins, he gets Pac. How about Marquez-Margarito at 147? LOL.

The guy that Pacquiao could drop 3 times, and break his nose, but still not beat.
" we all know who won that fight "
~ Floyd Mayweather
And Marquez beat Manny the second time around as well. The entire developed world saw it, and the look on Manny's face before the winner was announced, confirmed it.
That Marquez. The one that's got Manny's number

Cotto is too big for Marquez - P4P it's a different story - and Manny's size/style at 140 would be a far better match-up for JMM, although anything over 135lbs will always favor Manny. Possibly even 130 is the limit for Marquez vs Manny, which is why the 147 demand is such a b1tch-move when Manny can easily make 140.

Manny is not content with the fact that even if the fight was at 140 he would still have every advantage over the much older, and much slower, near 40yo Marquez.
Manny cannot compete with the skills of Marquez, so he wants to gain every possible physical advantage before he will go anywhere near JMM.
According to Alex Ariza and Freddie Roach, Manny is a natural JWW and can easily make 140.....

When Bob Arum stated that "Manny could not make 143 without starving himself" he must have forgotten that both Roach and Ariza had stated only 3 months earlier that they just can't keep weight on him when he trains, and that Manny eats "anything on the table" to stay at welterweight. Here is the Team Pacquiao lie.....

It's a b1tch-move, plain and simple.

He probably has the same chance of beating Margarito as Manny would have of beating a genuine JMW who was on top of his game
Speaking of JMW's who are on top of their game.....
how come Manny won't defend his title against Sergio at 154?
If JMM can go up two divisions to WW, then surely Manny can defend his JMW title at 154??
