According to trainer Freddie Roach, any fighter who wants to face Manny Pacquiao from the junior welterweight division, or below, will have to move up the full welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Roach will not agree to any catch-weight between 140 and 147. If Juan Manuel Marquez, Devon Alexander or Timothy Bradley want Pacquiao, they must agree to 147 or the fight won't happen.

Roach only uses catchweight to drain opponents. People bash floyd for his **** bbut what team pac is doing is worse.

Pac is a natural 140 pounder. If Pac has to overeat just to make 144.6 then let him just eat normally and go 140. You boy Pac already said that he does get tired even eating too much but yes Freddie, either fatten them up to slow them down or drain 'em to slow em down. Classy.

This is another example of Pac's team making him look bad. I agree that Pac shouldn't have to drain himself to a catchweight below 147. But, its completely hypocritical for Roach of all people to talk about the cons of catchweights for the bigger fighter when he's always come out and said he won't let Pac fight this guy or that guy above a certain catchweight because he'll be giving away too much weight. In the end, Roach is right, he's just the wrong person to make the statement because of the way he and the rest of Pac's team has done business the last couple years. They're making Pac look like a total fraud.

I'm just glad that he has no say and Arum, DeBouf and Trampler are the guys who make the call on who Manny fights.

With that said, I think this is just them blowing Marquez off as this is a fight that makes no sense what so ever.
