Andre Ward is dedicated to his Family, Religon and Oakland. For you who say he is boring or has no personality are idiots and probably get off to athletes who talk smack and get in trouble. Boxing takes so many black eyes by casual viewers and critics. Ward has all the talent and in this brutal sport where most fighters come from the hardest places on earth, he is humble. If he was Mexican, PR or Filipino he would be huge. Us as Americans must support our boxers the way ethnic groups do. Go Ward!! Keep it up and hope to see you at the top!!!

And I'm sure nobody's denying those qualities. I personally think we need more of that in the sport. But the problem is he is not a draw and never will be outside of hard-core boxing fans unless he develops a persona. He can be a family man while being fun on camera too. Nobody's asking him to insult his opponents' mothers or go rob liquor stores, just be a little more captivating. There are plenty of family-oriented boxers who respect their opponents but don't sound as monotone as Ward.

And I for one do not like religion in sport. I dislike when fighters thank God after their win, as if God favors them over their opponent. That is not what Christianity is about and for Ward to be calling himself Son of God is blasphemous quite frankly.

Not a draw? He's going to have more people watch him this saturday than saw Martinez-Williams, and he's had way less publicity. The reason he fights in Oakland is because he actually has a local following which very few fighters seem to have any more. As for Son of God he is using it from scripture that we are all Sons of God. He is not claiming to be the messiah. I've met him before and he is a great guy and an outstanding fighter who will get better and better. Two years from now he will be in the top 3 P4P no doubt.

ward has no fans no following and most of America is rooting for Bika to win. Ward is the dullest most boring fighter in the US next to dirrell. Ward should hang the gloves up and becomea preacher. God doesn't care about ward. Ward is another joke uneducated and a street kid scraping by with no fans.
