I'm just getting this point out of there. Marquez had success because his timing was perfect, also he had decent speed to go along with his timing. Pacquiao recent opponents have had none of these. Timing is KEY.

No the key to beating him is to put him on the back foot in the later rounds, Check out the Cotto fight in later part of the fight you will see what I mean...This I.M.O is the way to beat him....Even though its a tall order you have to try and provent him from popping in and out at his own choosing, And keep him on the back foot easyier said than done...This I believe is the reason why Mayweather will not take this fight, Because to put him on the back foot you must be prepared to take some real punishment... If Mayweather was to beat Pacco he would be the all time great in my book period

Your missing something. You must also have a good chin and your face must be ready for bad cuts and swallow because when you fought the legendary Pacquiao your face is busted big time,

Mayweather doesn't possess that type of style, he's not going to chase Pacquiao down! Marquez had success with key timing, that's something Mayweather does have in his toolbox. Martinez is the only fighter that could put him on the backfoot since he's bigger, stronger, athletic. Something tells me Martinez really has a good chance at beating him, his timing was perfection against Williams. I think Martinez can TIME Pacquiao coming in.

You forgot to mention that you have to have ELITE-level counterpunching/timing, a SOLID chin, elite-level defense, elite-level conditioning, elite-level training, elite-level.....ah, why continue.

Mayweather is the one person in the world who could beat Manny (@ 147)...and Manny's the one person in the world who can beat Floyd.

Anybody who doesn't see this fight at least close to 50/50 is a moron. ONE PUNCH changes everything. This isn't Pacquiao from 2004 or early 2008. He's a much better counterpuncher and has more head movement than before, while maintaining his explosiveness, foot speed, volume punching, and everything else that made him an international boxing superstar.

The key to defeating Pacquiao is avoidance- the art of fighting without fighting.
