Fair way to get paid?

I think that a good way of determining a pay scale for fighters would be instead of agreeing fighter A makes this % and fighter B makes this % before the fight, what would be wrong with winner getting this % of the purse Loser gets this %.That way fighters would definetely fighting to win always. I am sure I am not the first to ask this , but what do you think? Yay, nay ,why?

I guess in the old days, it was like that. But with promoters and people who want a guarantee they will get paid, those days are gone unless a promoter sets a bracket tournemet with his own fighters.
