The only way that happens is if he really struggles to get to 54. Remember SP also don't like to fight SP.....and Sergio would make Manny chase him. Manny would not have an advantage in foot or handspeed......so he won't have his usual weapons to overcome a bigger man. How will he beat him???????

It's simply not plausible. Arum and Roach can talk all they want....they will never let Pac get in the ring with MArtinez.

I was thinking this might happen, but you know the crowd will be booing and that **** would look disgracefully if Sergio is 20lbs bigger and 3-4 inches taller.....having a little midget like Manny chase him around the ring.

If Manny stops and looks at him, ala Cotto, that **** would be embarrassing for Marvilla. I say this because this is what happened against Cintron, but Martinez was game enough to engage more than what he was doing.

Now I'm not saying fight him face first, but don't stay on the outside 90% of the time firing the jab and right. Atleast puts some combos together and make it a fight......which I have no doubt (due to how pridefully Martinez has become as a fighter) will happen.

Manny's footspeed is notch or two better than Martinez but the challenge is Manny's head movement when he tries to get into range to fire his combos.

Also Manny's hand speed is better, as well as his timing....but Martinez does have an advantage in punching power.

Pac has the ability and tools to beat Martinez and vice versa. This fight is a lot closer than most think. I use to favor Martinez by 7th-10th round TKO...possible KO....but after watching more and more tape of both.....I'm starting to see things a lot differently.

I'm starting 2 lose a bit of respect for manny , I've come to realize that the last 3 or so yrs of his career has been meticulously composed , they've been manipulating the boxing world and I was almost feeding in to the hype but nope , some of u *****s make great points and if you look at the trends of the last 5 opponents you will see they're handpicked like cotton on the 1800's , plus the fact he magically gets 2 fight for a belt that just popped out of clear blue ..... hmmm makes you wonder , sounds wwe-ish

Manny has a chance because of the weight....that's it. Martinez is flawed....he is off balance often, hands low....etc etc...but Manny is not the type of fighter that exploits that.....he blows fighters out with volume, agression and raw speed. At 54 and above Floyd does much bedtter (50-50 fight in my mind) because he can exploit Sergio's flaws as he is a tactician and C puncher.

his offer to fight at 154 limit with his mw and pacs sww titles on the line should be fair enough. they know what they're doing. note that margie was 165 and is an inch taller than sergio. this deal is doable(what are you waiting for, arum?).

agreed, fight can go both way, if pacman win its gonna be brutal for him, probably be all bruised up considering martinez will be way bigger and martinez will be the more powerful puncher.
