JMM is the last great boxer Pacquiao has faced. Another JMM fight before a Mayweather fight could be embarrassing for Pacquiao if he struggles even a little bit. Might as well just skip it and wait till Mayweather boxes his ears off.

I'm not saying that Marquez would win........I think his best bet for a victory against Pacquiao sailed away in 2004 when his team decided to skip the rematch and went to Indonesia instead.

At this stage of their careers I think Marquez has the defensive abilities to avoid a knockout but I dont think he has the power to hurt Manny, or to win. Most likely he would show his age and absorb a pounding in the later rounds, and he will either make technical adjustments to survive or he will get stopped.

I love Marquez, so part of me wants to say that they would pick right where they left off and have another close battle, but in reality JMM did as good as he could in the rematch and I cant see him doing better in a 3rd fight.

Anything above 140 , Pac finishes him IMO. Pac would have to go back down to 135 , or a catchweight JMM demands.

But in my honest opinion since fighting JMM , Pac has become another beast.

Theres a reason why Floyd fought one , and not the other.

I think Pac has carried speed very well while moving up , and actually has a bigger punch now.

I dont see JMM beating , Margarito , Cotto or Clottey.

Styles make fights. Have the match up at 140 and I guarantee you it'll be alot different than Pacquiao's last 6 opponents. Marquez is like an old wine, it gets better with age. The same Marquez that got knocked down three times in the first round ended up fighting to a draw, then 4 years later at 34 years old outboxed the so called "new two handed Pacquiao" and IMHO and many others, Marquez won that fight.

I'm loling very hard at the people who think Marquez is out of his prime and sluggish, well the guy isn't Sergio Martinez he was never that quick to begin with. What Marquez has that many others don't have is that he's a very intelligent thinking fighter. Even the slightest mistakes you make and he will capitalize on them.

Give Marquez the fight, it's a much more competitive fight then people think it is. I laughed when I hear "Marquez is gonna get ktfo!" same people said the same thing 2 years ago. Pacquiao hasn't changed one bit. He's just fought fighters trailor made for his style. Hope you think about that folks.
