If you have a good team, the later parts of a fighters career is 98% cherry picked.
If/when a fighter makes it to a certain point (Popularity wise, money wise), ofcourse the fights are picked. Be it for money, belts or whatever reason.
Sugar Ray did'nt fight Pryor........ Pryor was a major problem PERIOD!
For boxing, yea it would have been a good fight. But from a biz standpoint it was high risk low reward.......
Bowe/Lewis............................ Same shyt from both ends...............
The list goes on and on... Yea we hate it, we get frustrated, yes we wished they'd just freakin fight already.
But when I got older and started understanding the biz side, it ****** but it made sense.
The only fighters that don't cherry pick either have bad managment or very bad managment.
Yes it sucks, but we give these jerks the power to continue when we buy this shyt.
If I can sell you a dime for a dollar(Paying for fights u don't wanna see), and you keep comming back(And paying for fights u don't wanna see) I'll continue to sell you a dime for a dollar.
We are the losers in this, as long as we keep bending over we'll continue to get screwed.
I don't wanna PAY to see Manny or Floyd, unless they fight eachother. No matter your stance (Love Floyd, Hate Floyd.. Love Manny, hate Manny) I'm sure you feel the same.
