Hernandez was getting beaten up by Roberto Garcia. And Berto is being paid almost a million dollars to fight a cherry-picked opponent.

It's sad that JMM is only making 30% more than Berto even though the whole reason the crowd will be there and people will be watching is because of him. No one tunes into Berto fights and I'd be interested to see what kind of ratings HBO has got from other Berto fights.

he's american, young and undefeated and massively overpaid. guys like Berto dont draw crowds to justify that sort of money, or even close. i doubt he even gets close to generating $250K from gate & PPV buys...let alone the near million he gets paid.

So overpaid. I dont know why HBO are pushing and financing this bum. He's way overrated and doesnt possess nearly enough skills to beat the top dogs around him. i'd fancy the likes of bradley and ortiz to do a number on berto.

I remember watching him fight noberto bravo and HBO were on his nuts way back then. All he has done after that fight is look worse and worse. He hasnt even fought a top 5 fighter yet!!!! He looked crappy against colazo and looked like a ***** against urango who devon alexander a 140 pound fighter killed!!!!!
