        Probably because Mexicans over populate the lower divisions. Numbers wise they have the most boxers. Boxing is the only sport where Mexicans have won a medal in the olympics. Their are so many they have to have a few good ones. I think the higher weight you go, the better the competition. Also lower weights are their natural size.

                and many more, its not healthy weighing 130 pounds or 122 pounds LOL I'am 5'9 and my best weight is 160 pounds, and I was skinny as hell !!
                I agree with the poster above. I dont think it's a coincidence that the majority of those guys are Mexican American. Mexican Americans tend to be taller on average and I think diet is the main reason. Mexican boxers tend to come from extremely impoverished conditions and literally got involved in the sport in order to feed themselves.
