OF Course. That is why HBO overpaying him makes no sense. Al Haymon must have something on HBO.

Whatever this Al Haymon guy is doing, it's working. But he beginning to produce nothing but hype jobs who price themselves out of fights.

Im not hating on Berto actually Kudos to him and his management for getting alot of $ to fight a nobody. I do have a problem with HBO spending there boxing budget on a fight nobody cares about. I could think of alot better fights I could make as a fan with 985k than Berto vs Hernandez. And HBO wont broadcast a Klitchko fight or alot of the other lighter weight champs due to budget. What HBo and Showtime should do is stop making significant fights on the same day so we can enjoy a fight every weekend vs 11 1 month and nothing the next.

I agree Berto is overpaid, but given the amount of times he's been on HBO and he's fighting in the highest weight class on the televised part of the card, it's not a stretch to think he'd get paid more than everybody else except for JMM since he's a big name.

This makes me vomit in the back of my throat.

Its a grotesque perversion of the sport.

Andre Berto is gonna make more money than Katsidis, Hernandez, Caballero, and Litzau combined.

Berto 910k to all others combined 855k. This is crazy. HBO please stop wasting your HBO money on Andre Berto especially if he is fighting boxers we dont want him to see. You guys had to beg to get him a fight with Hernandez for this weekend and you overpaid him.
Where did you get those numbers? I'm curious to see they would be published..
