Jones didnt fight John Ruiz at a catch weight, oh and John Ruiz was legitimately a champion, oh and John Ruiz wasnt 1-1 with one win over a bum in not so impressive fashion over the 2 or so year span prior to the fight, oh and ruiz's career wasnt marred by allegations of hand wraps. Ruiz was a top 10 Heavyweight and an actual WBA champion.

Margarito was not ranked in the top 10 JMW and the fight was for the vacant WBC JMW title.

See if Pacquiao had beaten an actual top 10 JMW champion and had left, that's okay. Floyd beat DLH who was WBC JMW champion and top 3 JMW and then left so it was okay.
