At least not both of them at the same time...hehhee. But wouldn't it be wild if all three of them can fight a WINNER TAKE ALL in a cage match?

    Ok, just kidding.

But yes, boxing is still alive if Mayweather and/or Pacquiao would form the new trilogy of boxing. I wish.

Truthfully, Martinez is screwed. None of those guys are fighting him.

I can sense that...but with the allures of big money, somebody would harp. With Mayweather, well it is obvious his hands are full with his legal battles and his mind is not totally in boxing right now.

With Pacquiao, he is torn between whether to give another go and defend the 154 or not. He is obviously on a mismatch being smaller and afraid he can get knocked-out fighting Martinez at 154 whereas he can hardly make 150.

To do another 144ish (on a weigh in) and fight Martinez is dangerous to him...Martinez is no Margarito.

But for boxing's sake we all can still dream that any of these prima donnas can fight for the sake of boxing.

At least for pugilist purist in me, a fool that is.

I don't think Mayweather is as troubled by his legal issues as people on these forums are. Not my concern, anyway.
With Pacquiao, he is torn between whether to give another go and defend the 154 or not. He is obviously on a mismatch being smaller and afraid he can get knocked-out fighting Martinez at 154 whereas he can hardly make 150.
It's a catch-22 here. Can't beat up on a 164lb man and then claim Martinez is too big. You mean too good. And guess what? He is. I don't see Manny taking that fight. If he does - at 154 - every one of his critics should STFU. I'll lead the charge.

To do another 144ish (on a weigh in) and fight Martinez is dangerous to him...Martinez is no Margarito.

in this constant game of one-upping each other, taking on the Martinez challange would speak volumes...win or lose

tough guy. how about challenging 168 pounders and not small 147 pounders.

BTW I like sergio and his promoter is making him say this. he already claimed pac being too small and I admire his honesty there.

I want my boy Sergio to finally get the payday and recognition he deserves. Even if it means beating smaller guys.

I agree. But will we see it happen? Probably not.
