Pirog vs Sturm should be made first, Martinez vs Zbik since thats his mandatory, winners meet in summer 2011

How can anyone want to see Martinez vs Pirog? I know Pirog is 30, but in boxing years he's only 20. He only has 17 pro fights and his best win is over another up and coming prospect.

Martinez is gonna be 36 in February 2011 so he doesn't have much time left no matter how good he has looked, at this age, father time can catch up any time soon.

If Martinez wants to fight big names coming up in weight, he should get a pass for fighting Williams twice, Cintron and getting robbed against him, and basically only losing once in 10 years. Pirog is a no name, high school sparring partner who's getting hyped for beating another prospect. Newsflash, Martinez is no prospect.

is dibella even a real promoter?

dibella only wants to fight guys that bring money to the table or fans to the arena, but martinez can't do either.

then he goes and says if HBO pays for it anything can happen.

FAO: Dibella. how about you be a real promoter instead of wait for crumbs from HBO?

Theres Dibella making himself look like the LIAR he is again.I thought that to fight Manny at 156,Martinez"would have to KILL himself to get there",even though he fought at 154 LESS than a year ago.Now he'll look at offers from 154-160!!!Just shows how Lou REALLY feels about Pac-man,once Segio loses it'll be "he had to KILL himself to make weight AND thats why he lost".Lou needs to learn the virtue of TRUTH.

this is dumb and all of martinez's SHEEP fan boys flocked into this thread.

and people wanted to get PISSED at me when i called this mess out before it even started to happen. you see, i don't FOLLOW nut wagons.

first thing. martinez should be fighting MIDDLEWEIGHTS as he is a REAL MIDDLEWEIGHT. weight draining his self & trying to fight more welterweights will do no good for him in the long run.

martinez camp saying that he won't fight guys like "pirog" because of money issues is pathetic. so that means he won't fight his MANDATORY because of "money"

this is getting ridiculous & the nut wagon goes on.

Pirog is a good fighter. He would give Martinez a run for his money and it would be a unification fight. Dibella doesnt want this fight cuz Martinez might lose so he would rather get a payday against a lightweight/welterweight. Pick on someone your own size Martinez unless your willing to drop to 147 against Pac.

This is what is wrong with the sport. See Floyd and Manny are proven cash cows. They can sit around and demand this and that. People will pay to see them fight and pay lots of money.

Martinez goes out and scores an impressive win over two obvious faltering opponents, and now suddenly his promoter feels he is in their league?

Pirog and many others are in his league. See we have all these fighters now with no home base. None of them can draw flies to sh|t, so these promoters can only put something together with HBO or Showtimes help. It is all about greed and trying to cash out. I would like to see Dibella put together a fight with Martinez in his home town. Get 50,000 fans to pack the arena and then try to get a fight deal with an HBO or Showtime. That is the way it used to be done. Now it is just about being lazy and trying to bleed more money from the networks. Getting a deal and then setting the fight up in a casino.

DiBella's getting a big head. Just like Ariza, he must think he has something to do with Martinez's accomplishments. Williams' promoter promoted Martinez better than DiBella did.

But until I hear Martinez say he doesn't want any of Pirog, than ducking is all allegation
