the question is if martinez has to choose a fight between a lightmiddle wieght and a supermiddlewieght match what would he choose? i think he will choose the weight div where pacquiao was bec of the money or is it they punch lighter than the higher weight???pacquiao can fight anybody on welterweight and below without any catchweight thing but going up in weight is a big disadvantage to him....packyow took the most dangerous opponent available by going up in higher weight div. if pac has stayed at welterweihgt below, can you name a fighter that could possibly beat him?????martinez should challenge fighter in higher weights too just like pacquia.......

This fight is the best match up to be made at 154 since I doubt Floyd will fight either of them. I backed up Floyd long enough in fantasy fights. The other day I was saying how Mayweather would beat Martinez, but why should I say that if Money doesn't even try to make a fight with Martinez happen? Its one thing to say a fighter will win in a fantasy match-up, its better if the fight takes place so we know what really would happen.

LOL every fighter wanna fight anyone as long as its not a mismatch saying that delahoya cotto margarito are weight drained shows that they were idiots?????because they cant make weight????boy when boxers negotiate they wont agree to fight if they were in a big disadvantage thats why packyows asking for catchweight...boxers wont accept the challenge if they wont be able to make weight...strategy in boxing starts during training...good training program doesnt give you problems like weight problemss...do you think cotto was weight drained by weighing just 1 lb on his previous fight?????????

I do not know Manny personally. Pity, I would love to meet him.

I am just a normal boxing fan, I am no longer officially involved in the sport.

When I hear a public announcement, or read a public statement, I have the right to feel that it is directed toward me personally. I am after all a member of the public.

In a similar vein, when Manny insisted that the Cotto fight be held at 145, he admitted one-of-two things.....

He either.....

1.) could not compete with Cotto at Miguel's normal weight

or.....

2.) he tried to intentionally weight-drain Cotto to gain an unfair advantage

When I said "admitted to me" I meant that it was obvious, and undeniable.

The two reasons that I mentioned above are the only two possible reasons to insist upon a catch-weight.

When I stated earlier that Manny is not an 8-division titlist, I was not meaning that I think he is a genuine 7-division titlist either

But I am not Manny-bashing, I just wanted to address the point that made me so angry when watching that 60 minutes show.

I have been a huge fan of boxing for many many years, it is extremely frustrating to see history being re-written, and to see the integrity of the sport undermined by lies and hyperbole. The Legends that I used to idolise should not have their accomplishments diminished by that 60 minutes hype.

FACT: Marquez is not a factor above 135

FACT: Even at 140, Marquez would be seriously dis-advantaged

FACT: Manny can easily make 140
