not necessarily he'd be losing water weight which he can quickly regain.

why should pacquiao have to continue fighting bigger guys? it's not required out of any other fighter. martinez said after the williams fight he didn't want to fight pacquiao because he's too small and it would be a mismatch, but I guess he sees the dollar signs now.

pac should fight guys his own size for a change, which is what the bob father said he's going to do for the next couple of fights. He said it's ok to fight big guys once in a while but not consistently or that will shorten your career, and he's right. If pac wants to fight until he's 35 years old it's not wise to fight guys who will outweigh him by ~20 pounds on a regular basis, that's too much wear and tear on the body. If he fights martinez at 154, Martinez will outweigh him by approximately that much and that's two fights in a row where pacquiao would be giving up nearly 20 pounds. That is not smart and that will catch up with you sooner or later.

I think people just want pacquiao to lose and apparently the only way people think that's going to happen is if he's fighting guys that have such a huge weight advantage.

    • Doesn't matter how big Martinez is because fact is that Pacquiao
is a 154 champ and Martinez can fight at 154 AND the title Pac
has is Martinez's title. How can anyone defend Pac from ducking
this fight? Especially since Pac fought Margarito who is an inch
taller and most likely would be the same weight or size as Martinez
on fight night. Pac needs to drop the title and stop embarrassing
himself because if he fights a lesser fighter at 154, then he will
put the nail in his own coffin even further.

that same punch numerous times in the first fight and even in
the second one before he put him out. Martinez even told
Diabella that he would knock Williams out. More excuses
Martinez would flame Pac up, PERIOD.
If Martinez caught Williams with that same punch numerous times in the first fight, then there were numerous knock outs, it's crazy...

Be realistic, Compubox don't lie it was only a lucky punch...

If ever Pacquiao vs Martinez still believes Pac wins, but nothing to prove...Martinez has more to prove before he levels himself with Pac...

Calm down pimpin', you responded to me remember?

My original post was talking about all the people that think its ok for Pac to never have to fight fighters at the weights the commission sets forth just to suit there agenda.

You said my "post" was dumb....

I responded saying it was the truth but with "humor" and "SIMPLE" logic. But the point was that some people are attempting to lower standards just for Pac.

I never said you specifically. Why would you assume I'm singling you out?

I hope Martinez is a sportsman and tries to mix it up every once in a while...which is what I feel he will do.

So you want Martinez to come forward and forget about defense like Margarito. You *******s make me laugh so much....

What do you not understand about pacquiao returning to 147 pounds? Some of you guys are dense as hell.

Especially since Pac fought Margarito who is an inch

              on fight night.
Again, it's one thing to fight a bigger guy once in a while, it's another thing to do it back to back to back. There is nothing wrong with fighting guys your own size. I mean *****, guys pacquiaos "own size" like shane mosley or andre berto aren't really his own size if you think about it.

Pac needs to drop the title
That was the plan from the start. They stated they were going to vacate the title.

Team Pac already realized Pac doesn't belong higher than a welterweight, for sure they will vacate that belt...but it doesn't mean you will take away his accomplishment...

                • It's not going to happen Martinez is not only big but he doesn't stand still and get hit all night like DLH, Cotto, Clottey, and Marg. Martinez will counter and actually has the power to lay you flat stiff as a board. I don't think pac wants any part of that. I think pac should at least drop down to 140 and fight Marquez, or Bradley/Alexander winner if he does that I'm willing to forgive him for ducking Martinez. Or of course fight do the OST and fight Mayweather. At this point I just hope PBF get out of his legal trouble and can fight again soon. This vacation **** is annoying.
