140 Miguel Cotto v.s. current Amir who wins??

For as naturally athletic and fast as Amir is, he still hasn't really learned inside defense. Maidana showed that last night. And Maidana doesn't go to the body as much or as viciously as a prime Cotto did. The one that got into the ring with Zab Judah, Mosley, and Margarito.
I could see Amir maybe escaping with a close decision but probably more likely something to the effect of what happened to Judah. Cotto eventually breaking him down for a late stoppage.
In present day though, if Amir grows into the 147 lb division strongly and improves even more (more upside than Cotto now obviously) and Cotto still showing some signs of the KO's to Pac and Margarito, I could see Amir taking Cotto out in the future.Comment

Cotto in his 140 days would've beaten him and today at 147 with "what he has left" would also beat him.
AT 140 Cotto was a much better boxer than what Maidana is, had much more hand speed, and could hit as hard or comparable to Maidana.Comment

lol, fight wouldn't even be close..
Khan would knock him out easily.
Remember Torres and Corley. Those guys had Cotto on ***** street and Cotto needed the ref's help to win the Corley fight.
Khan has way more speed and pop at 140 than both. Cotto gets decimated.Comment

Cotto is the same Cotto today if not, a better fighter. I don't believe that Margarito "took his soul" crap. Cotto is great but he is/was not that great of a fighter.Comment
